Pain Management

Pain whether acute or chronic can be debilitating and affect the quality of life. It can disrupt daily day to day activities, affect sleep quality and affect mental wellbeing. Acute pain is generally defined as pain that lasts no more than 6 months while chronic pain can last for years.

Naturopathic approach in pain management is providing symptom relief so you can get on with your day pain free but also treating the cause of pain. Determining the type of pain allows for directing treatment. There are many different types of pain that range from somatic, visceral, neuropathic and sympathetic pain. Reducing inflammation, healing injured tissue, reducing muscular tension, improving blood flow and oxygenation to muscle and improving immune and nerve function are some treatment approaches I take with my patients to address pain at the root!
